For more information about any of these ministries, please contact the church office.
On the first Wednesday of each month (with a few exceptions when a holiday conflicts) we offer a catered Fellowship Dinner in the Fellowship Hall. Various ministry groups help organize these dinners throughout the year. The meal is served from 5:45 - 7:00 pm. Cost is $6 per person, with a family max of $25. There is also a take-out option. You can sign up to attend by contacting the church office or by marking the blue Connection Form in Sunday's bulletin by the Sunday before the Wednesday dinner.
This group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am, just before the Wednesday Morning Bible Study, to pray for those who are ill, injured, grieving, celebrating or otherwise in need of special prayers. They welcome new members - come join them in the Prayer Room on the main level.
This group meets monthly at 10:00 am on third Monday in the Resource Room to make prayer quilts for members and friends of the Grace congregation who are facing illnesses. Quilts are decorated with strings that are tied in knots as people pray over the quilt as it is displayed in the narthex on Sunday mornings.
This group meets twice a month, and needleworkers are welcome to join them for one or both sessions - second and fourth Thursdays at 1:00-3:00 pm in the Prayer Room. The group project is baby blankets for Prince William Hospital, but members are also welcome to work on their own projects. Knitting instruction is available from group leaders during the meetings.
This ministry provides meals to the Grace family in response to births, illnesses, hospitalization or upon the death of a loved one. Please contact the church office if you have need of meals, or if you would like to volunteer to provide meals to folks in your neighborhood.
The Grace Care Team is a group of dedicated church members who maintain contact with a small list of members through occasional phone calls, emails or cards. Training is provided for those who participate in this ministry.
Grace's Parish Nursing Ministries is a Registered Nurse led care team that ministers to Grace members through Christ's healing compassion. The Parish Nurses work in concert with the Pastoral leadership, the Stephen Ministers and other groups within the Nurture Committee. The Parish Nursing Ministries provides blood pressure screening to the congregation after worship services on the first Sunday of each month.
This team contacts families who have lost a loved one and offers support through visits and delivering of bereavement books.
This team helps provide food - most often baked goods and finger foods - and/or kitchen assistance for funeral receptions, special dinners, receptions and other events held at Grace.
Members of this team, on a rotational basis, provide small loaves of home-baked bread for use by the First Time Worshiper Visitation Team.
