Our last summer Sermon Series will be based on five sensational stories of Jesus from the Gospel of Matthew in which Jesus uses the five senses (taste, sight, smell, hearing, and touch) to reveal the Way of faith in a wilderness world. Each week will feature a story of Jesus and will also offer ways to bless our neighbors using those same senses in a time when in-person neighborliness is more important than ever.

This summer at Grace, we are going to consider Olympic training for the life of faith! We will have four weeks of inspiring practice following the flame of Christ. We will learn new kinds of prayer and reflection to improve our awareness of what God is doing in our lives and in our world. We will get active with our bodies and be reminded that faith and works put Jesus in the center of every ceremony. We will even come to know God as our head coach and consider how we might coach others in faith. Get ready for the bell to ring, and join the team where love wins every time!
Join us for this online 6-week study on the book, “How to be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi. We will meet Wednesday evenings at 8pm via Zoom. All are welcome to join! (Please note: No class on July 29th.)
Grace UMC is hosting a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 10am-4pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Our first Summer Sermon series is focused on the book of Galatians. We’re going to read the whole book together in our Wednesday Morning Bible Study, and preach the whole book through worship on Sunday mornings. The idea is that we’re going to “stay” in this book of Galatians which, interestingly enough, is about keeping the main thing (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) the main thing, in every circumstance.
