2026 Youth Retreat

Retreats are a favorite activity of the youth – getting away, hiking, learning, and having fun! Our next Youth Retreat will be at Hunting Ridge Retreat Center in Winchester, VA from October 2-4.

We will leave at 6pm on October 2 from Grace and return on October 4 in time to worship together at the 11am service. The cost is $150 for meals, lodging and supplies. Please RSVP no later than Sunday, September 20. Contact Kara Neal, Director of Youth Ministries and Missions, if you have questions or need more info!

Retreat Details:

When? Starts Friday evening, October 10, 6 pm (meet at Grace UMC). We will return October 12 in time to worship together at 11am at Grace UMC. 

How? Youth Adult Leaders will drive the church bus and van. Dinner will be picked up on the way and served once we get to the retreat center. We will then settle into our cabins, have hot chocolate and popcorn and watch a movie. Saturday we will wake up and be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner by the retreat center. We will have devotion in the morning, have a session, go for a hike, free time/games, lunch, nap time/hangout time, hike, session, worship, and dinner dance party with arts and crafts and hopefully a bonfire by the lake (weather permitting)  Sunday we will wake up, clean up and load the bus/van for home. 

What do I need to pack? Toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash/shampoo, 3 sets of clothes, towel, hiking shoes, a hoodie, flip flops or crocs, pillow, twin sheets or a sleeping bag (twin size bunk beds) and a flexible attitude. 

How much does it cost? $125 per person for 5 meals, 2 night lodging and a great spiritual/ relaxing retreat! Scholarships are available upon request.
