Rev. Janet Salbert

Janet has served churches in the Virginia Conference since 2002, joining in ministry at Grace UMC in July of 2014. She is a registered nurse and served in the USAF before entering into ministry. She graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and is a graduate of the Shalem Spiritual Guidance Program. Janet is passionate about nurturing and strengthening our inner spiritual lives for the purpose of sustaining our outward mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. She is the Regional Director of Spiritual Formation for Neighborhood Seminary in NOVA, a program that educates, supports and empowers the church to move out into the neighborhood. She offers one on one spiritual guidance for those desiring discernment for their faith journey. Janet has four adult sons, one daughter-in-love, two adorable grandsons and Ruby, her energetic aussie. She grew up in the White Mountains of NH and loves to hike. She enjoys traveling and exploring the arts and culture.
Fun fact: Janet believes the only food they serve in heaven is scottish shortbread.
