Rev. Jessica Lunsford

Rev. Jessica Lunsford grew up in the small town of Big Stone Gap, VA. She experienced a call to ministry when she was in High School. She studied Human Development at Virginia Tech and then received her Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. She served on staff at Grace UMC as the Director of Youth Ministries from 2005-2010. She was ordained as a Deacon in The United Methodist Church in 2010 and then went on to serve several churches throughout the VA Conference as well as spent two years working for a nonprofit in the field of mental health counseling. She returned to Grace in 2021 to serve as the Minister of Faith Formation, Congregational Care and Community Engagement. Jessica is married to Steven. She has three children (Braden, Maddie and G.G.) and three bonus children (Ben, Anna, and Livie). She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her children play sports, and listening to live music. Her happy place is Smith Mountain Lake where her parents live!
Fun Fact: Jessica loves to dance and used to be a certified Zumba instructor.
