Partnering with Ukraine

Grace has partnered with the ministry of St. John’s church in Lviv, Ukraine for many years and continues to support them through gifts, love, and prayer. These are pictures of Pastor Volodya and some church members. They have been working tirelessly since the war began to house, feed, and assist refugees in numerous ways as they pass through Lviv on the way out of the country.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Grace UMC continues to partner with the Red Cross to hold blood drives in our Fellowship Hall. This is a great way that we regularly serve our community. Here are a couple photos from the most recent blood drive.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Grace offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to those in our community seeking to develop and refine their English skills. Click here for class schedule information.

Would you like to volunteer with ESL? No prep is needed; this is a ‘show up and support the teacher’ role and you do not need to speak another language to volunteer in this ministry!
Contact Paul at esl@umcgrace.org for more info.

Transition Ministry

Collection of coats and blankets

This ministry helps those who are transitioning from one life situation to another. The Grace Transition Ministry organized and planned a coat and blanket drive for those in need. The group also collected a van-load of books to donate.

Labor Finders

Another local partner in mission is Labor Finders, a business in Manassas that helps hard-working people find temporary work in various fields.
Periodically, we offer a hot breakfast, toiletries, and clothing to the people who are at Labor Finders looking for work.
