In response to COVID-19, the physical building is closed, but the ministries of Grace are still happening! We invite you to join Grace for online worship at 9:45am Sunday mornings along with many other “virtual” gatherings throughout the week. Please explore the website, visit the Grace Facebook page, or contact the office for more information. Find additional info on Staying Connected here.
Following is what you can expect once we are able to resume in-person worship and gatherings. Until then, please continue to watch and follow us online and reach out with any questions you may have. You may call us at 703-361-7800 or email us at email@example.com.
We welcome you to worship at our services on Sunday morning at 8:25, 9:45 Thrive, & 11am. Grace offers a variety of opportunities to worship God, grow in faith, connect with others, and serve our community, the nation, and the world.
Please be sure to stop by the Welcome Table, located just inside the entry doors to the narthex (lobby) area to pick up your Welcome Bag full of info and goodies!
8:25 and 11am services
These are traditional worship services with a rotating schedule of musical leadership including adult and youth choirs, children’s singing and ringing choirs, adult hand bell choirs, a brass ensemble, and more. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. The 11am service offers special children’s worship activities on all but the first Sundays, when children are invited to participate in Holy Communion with their families. See more about these Children’s Church programs below.
Thrive at 9:45am
Thrive is Grace’s newest Sunday morning worship service. We meet every Sunday morning at 9:45am and offer a blended style of service that lasts about 45 minutes. Our Thrive Music Team leads worship each week through a blended acoustic setting. In other words, you will experience some of the popular christian music of today as well as some of your favorite hymns!
Praise-N-Play (PNP) is our Children’s Church program at 11am for all children ages three, four and five. To participate, children must have turned three by September 30 of the current school year, but not yet be in Kindergarten. During the hymn following Children’s Time, parents escort their children to meet the PNP leaders in Room 3 for songs, crafts and Bible stories.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What should I wear? At every time of worship, people are dressed all kinds of ways–we welcome everyone as they are! In the mornings, you will find people in suits and dresses as well as khakis and jeans.
- Do I need to bring anything? You won’t need to bring your own Bible, although you’re welcome to do so, but there are pew Bibles and we project the scripture up on the screens as well. We hope that you’ll be blessed by being in God’s presence during worship.
- What about the kids? Children are always welcome, and there is a nursery for children two and under if moms and dads prefer it. There are also some rocking chairs and a great hallway just outside the worship sanctuary where you can still hear the service even if a child needs some special soothing or space to move around!
