Grace 2025 Advent Devotional
You are invited to join us this Advent in preparing for the coming of Christ by reading and praying through our Advent devotional, Unto Us: Poems, Prayers, and Promises for Advent.
This devotional is intended as a gift from Grace United Methodist Church to those who wish to experience the season of Advent as a time of deliberate reflection and preparation.
These readings give us a chance to reflect on just that, the promise of a Christ who was, and is, and is to come, whose coming kingdom will have no end. We hope this devotional will bless you this Advent season.
The devotional can be viewed by clicking the button above. It is also being sent via email and printed copies are available in the Narthex. If you would like to receive the devotionals via email, please contact the church office at 703-361-7800 or office@umcgrace.org.
Advent Mission Opportunities
During this season, we want you to know of ways to help others in our community. Listed below are four current opportunities:
- Gifts for our neighbors at Georgetown South
- Purchase 3 Christmas gifts (ideas provided) for a child in our community. Details and sign up here.
- Purchase wish list items for the Georgetown South community. Details and list here.
- Donate directly to the Georgetown South Community Council Foundation (GTSCCF) by cash or check sent to 9444 Taney Road Manassas, VA 20110.
- Angel Tree gifts for local children
- We’ve partnered with local social service agencies to help provide Christmas gifts to families in need this season. Grab a “tag” from the Christmas tree located near the church office. Details here.
In addition, Grace takes a special offering on Christmas Eve every year to be given away in Jesus’ name in order to make an impact in our community and world.
This year we feel called to impact medical debt. Working with an organization called RIP Medical Debt, Grace will be making a gift that RIP Medical Debt will multiply by 100. Grace has already pledged $10,000 which will impact $1 million in debt. What’s more, all of that will impact medical debt for Virginians in our very own state.
Your Christmas Eve Offering will deepen our impact even further. We invite you to join us on Christmas Eve and to plan on participating in our Christmas Eve offering.
