Everyone is welcome at all of our times of worship--8:30am, 11:00am and 5:00pm--and we hope that you'll come celebrate God's love and be a part of what God is doing in the world! Each worship service lasts about an hour.
Sunday Mornings at 8:30 am and 11:00 am
These are traditional worship services with a rotating schedule of musical leadership including the Chancel Choir, the Wesley Singers youth choir, the Woodwind and Brass ensembles, the children's Asbury singing and ringing choirs, the Treble Ensemble and the Parrish Bells and GosBells handbell choirs. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. Nursery care is available during both services for children who were not yet three as of September 30 of the current school year. The 11:00 service offers special children's worship activities: Praise and Play for ages 3-5 but not yet in Kindergarten, and JAM (Jesus and Me) for Kindergarten through Third Grade - on all but the first Sundays, when children are invited to participate in Holy Communion with their families. See more about these Children's Church programs below.
thrive at 9:45 am
This service offers a non-traditional, informal worship featuring blended music and lasts about 45 minutes. Continued fellowship is availble after the service at our coffee bar in the Narthex.
Sunday Evenings @ Grace at 5:00 pm
This is an informal worship service with the musical leadership of the SonRise band—our own Christian rock band who offer well-known contemporary music and well-loved band originals. An album of their original work is coming soon! Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. Nursery care is available for children five and under. This service offers special Sunday School activites on non-Communion Sundays, called SEEK, for ages 3 through 5th grade. See more about this Children's Church program below. Dress down, but be ready to power up with some excellent music, uplifting sermons and friendly company.
Praise-n-Play (PnP) is our Children’s Church program at 11:00 for all children ages three, four and five. To participate, children must have turned three by September 30 of the current school year, but not yet be in Kindergarten. During the hymn following Children's Time, parents escort their children to meet the PnP leaders in Room 5 for songs, crafts and Bible stories.
JAM (Jesus and Me) is our Children’s Church program at 11:00 for all children in grades K-3. We learn about Worship, the Bible, Jesus, God and other great stuff in fun, new ways like… music, drama & puppets! JAM meets most Sundays (except for Communion Sundays) from mid-September to mid-June. Join the JAM leader at the back of the sanctuary after Children’s Time and we’ll move to the Fellowship Hall together. Come JAM with us!
SEEK is our Evening Sunday School Program, where kids learn about the Bible in fun, creative and relevant ways. After Children’s Time during the worship service (except for Communion Sundays) children will move to Room 3 (younger kids) and Room 9 (older kids).
Frequently Asked Questions
- What should I wear? At every time of worship, people are dressed all kinds of ways--we welcome everyone as they are! In the mornings, you will find people in suits and dresses as well as khakis and jeans. In the evenings, you'll see a lot more jeans, but some people dress up and all are welcome!
- Do I need to bring anything? You won't need to bring your own Bible, although you're welcome to do so, but there are pew Bibles and we project the scripture up on the screens as well. We hope that you'll share your name and address with us so that we can know that you were a guest, but otherwise, we simply hope that you'll be blessed by being in God's presence during worship.
- What about the kids? Children are always welcome, but there's also a nursery for children two and under if moms and dads prefer it. There are also some rocking chairs and a great hallway just outside the worship sanctuary where you can still hear the service even if a child needs some special soothing or space to move around! Note that there are particular activities available for children during the 11:00 and 5:00 worship services.
